Live Music in Myrtle Beach: Here’s Where to Go

It’s easy to find a good time on the Grand Strand. And you don’t have to go too far to hear some of the area’s most talented musicians, either. There are plenty of venues that have someone singing and strumming a guitar on stage for the summer.

Here are a few spots you could catch a show with dinner or drinks. Especially as restrictions ease a bit, we can get back to gatherings to enjoy balmy summer nights.

Where to Catch Live Music in Myrtle Beach

The Bowery

There’s lots of Myrtle Beach country and rock history in this rustic bar. Sit on the patio and hear some of the best music around every night — sometimes more than one act in an evening. Take an ET Corndog and a Bowery Mary with you out there.

Creek Ratz

You’ll find some of the area’s most eclectic acts on the Marshwalk. It’s one of those places no one ever wants to leave at the end of the night. The sign says “great food, great view, coldest drinks,” but they could add “awesome music,” too.

Dead Dog Saloon

You’ll find good foods, lots room, and a fun crowd at Dead Dog. Plus, they book a pretty talented, diverse lineup of entertainment, every night of the week. Come early for happy hour, with a dollar off drinks and a plate of Raging Angels. (Skewers of marinated scallops and Cajun shrimp, wrapped in bacon and grilled.)

Nacho Hippo

Enjoy tunes every night of the week as you enjoy some of the best nachos on the Grand Strand. This family-friendly joint has sidewalk seating and flat-screen TVs, too. It’s a great getaway (especially with some Bangin’ Shrimp and Hip Lemonade Marga-tini.)

Suck Bang Blow

This biker bar is 40,000 square feet of beer, bands, and barbecue. They have a blast during Bike Week especially, with music every night. The SBB and Ironhead burgers are boss, and happy hour has some great drink specials.

Wahoo's Fish House

Some of the most popular acts on the Grand Strand make regular appearances here. Your meal will be delicious, too: Fried Shrimp and Fried Flounder are favorites. Check out the lovely stained-glass mosaic sea creatures on the ceiling, too.
