Holiday Stay at Compass Cove? Try One of These 6 Seasonal Starbucks Drinks at Our In-House Coffee Shop

As the most serious of Starbucks fans will tell you, anytime is a good time to grab a fresh-brewed pick-me-up from the world’s most popular coffee-shop chain. But during the holiday season, a range of special seasonal treats are added to the menu — and they all serve as perfect companions to those cool days that are so common in the late fall and early winter.

The next time you visit a coffee shop serving Starbucks — such as the Compass Joe found on-site at Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort in Myrtle Beach — consider grabbing one of the six following seasonal selections. This tempting list includes some of the chain’s long-loved holiday classics, along with a returning favorite that was introduced just last year!

Peppermint Mocha

This old favorite has been on the Starbucks holiday menu since it made its debut two decades ago. The drink features a base of espresso and steamed milk that’s sweetened with mocha sauce and peppermint syrup, all topped off with whipped cream and dark chocolate flakes.

Caramel Brulée Latte

Introduced to the Starbucks holiday menu in 2009, this sweet winter warmer features Starbucks’ signature espresso roast, steamed milk and caramel brulée sauce, all topped off with whipped cream and crunchy caramel brulée crumbs.

Chestnut Praline Latte

This treat, on the holiday menu since 2014, delivers just the right amount of the sweet, distinctive flavor of chestnuts. It features a base of Starbucks’ signature espresso roast, steamed milk and chestnut praline syrup, then gets topped off with whipped cream and praline crumbs.

Toasted White Chocolate Mocha

Introduced in 2017, this rich and velvety winter treat features Starbucks’ signature espresso roast, steamed milk, milk foam and caramelized white chocolate mocha sauce. It’s then topped with whipped cream, red sugar sparkles and crispy white pearls.

Irish Cream Cold Brew

Not every coffee drink has to be hot. And this simple, low-calorie option (weighing in at 200 calories per grande cup) has been keeping its cool since its introduction in 2019. It features cold brew coffee and Irish cream-flavored syrup poured over ice, then topped with vanilla-flavored sweet cream cold foam and a dash of cocoa.

Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte

Introduced in late 2021 — and back by popular demand — this non-dairy drink puts another cold-coffee option on the holiday menu. It features Starbucks’ blonde espresso roast and a blend of almond milk and sugar cookie flavors, all poured over ice. Red and green sprinkles on top add a festive finishing touch.
