Good Eats At The Compass Cove Resort in Myrtle Beach

Good Eats At The Compass Cove Resort in Myrtle Beach

Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort is made up of three edifices (the Schooner Building, Mariner Tower and Pinnacle Tower) and houses two restaurants, The Crow’s Nest and Compass Rose, as well as one outside eatery and bar, the Tiki Hut.

Open 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. throughout the year, the Compass Rose, located at the Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort, features a Southern-inspired all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet.

Guests and locals alike enjoy the friendly staff and the wide array of breakfast favorites such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fresh cinnamon rolls, French toast, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit and cereal. You can even make your own waffles.

“We stayed [at the Compass Cove] for the second time last week and had a great time,” said Brina Spencer Clark via Compass Cove’s Facebook page. “I wanted to tell you that Jennifer that works in the Compass Rose restaurant is an absolute jewel. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. [Each day], she would have our eggs the way we liked them at our table by the time we sat down from the bar. We already can’t wait for the next trip!”

For those not wanting to stuff themselves from the buffet, the Compass Rose also offers an a la carte menu with combos featuring eggs, toast, hash browns, grits and other breakfast items.

The best part about starting your morning at the Compass Rose is the reasonable price for a breakfast buffet. At just $8.95, plus tax per person, you can fill up without emptying your wallet.

When your stomach beckons for a mid-day energy boost, the Tiki Hut, located on the Schooner building oceanfront pool deck, will be waiting to serve you. Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. mid-April to mid-September, the Tiki Hut offers delicious drink specials for all ages as well as cooked to order grilled foods.

In addition to popular summer classics like hot dogs and hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, wraps and seafood baskets are also among the menu items at the Tiki Hut. Also, on Mondays, from noon to 5 p.m., guests can enjoy a steak, baked potato and side for $9.

When the sun begins to set, you can head to the Crow’s Nest Restaurant located oceanfront with an unbeatable view of the Atlantic Ocean and pool deck.

Open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. from March to the end of October, the Crow’s Nest serves up daily specials that are sure to please. Enjoy a cold drink and meal outside on the deck or inside the brightly painted dining and lounge area.

One of the ways the Crow’s Nest keeps its menu interesting is by designating certain days as a tribute to particular foods.  For instance, Philly Fridays is when guests can purchase the sandwich, which comes with fries, for $7.  In addition to special food days, Crow’s Nest also has occasional summer pool parties.

Whether you’re a guest of Compass Cove Resort or just looking for a bite to eat just a few steps away from the ocean, you can find everything your taste buds desire at Compass Cove Resort!
