Compass Cove Resort Love Myrtle Beach Attraction NASCAR SpeedPark!
There’s so much to do at Compass Cove Resort. First, there are miles of glorious beach sitting outside the back door. Right there, you’ve got hours of sandy, sun-soaked fun. But there’s also a huge selection of pools and entertainment, from water slides and lazy rivers, to the kiddie pool, silly submarine, four outdoor pools, two indoor pools and hot tubs. There’s also shuffleboard, a freshly updated game room, gift shop and a station where you can rent free, unlimited DVDs!
But sometimes, even at a resort with just about endless opportunities for fun, you want to get out and check out something new. And one of the favorite Myrtle Beach attractions that families love is Myrtle Beach’s NASCAR SpeedPark, which is located just a few miles from Compass Cove Resort.
The SpeedPark is 26 acres of fun, loaded up with seven go-kart tracks, family rides, midway games and even mini-golf courses. The Competitor track is a tight oval track with high banking and side-by-side racing that allows smaller family members to participate in double-seater cars—the driver must be at least 60’’ tall, and the passenger must be at least 40’’ tall.
The Intimidator is another popular track, where you can whip through hairpin tours in NASCAR replica cars as you traverse a road course. The Family 500 is also popular, offering both double and single seaters. There is also a course for kids—The Qualifier, which allows children who are at least 40’’ tall.
But the entertainment goes way beyond go-karts. Families also love the rock climbing wall, minigolf, the Skycoaster flier ride and even batting cages.
Before heading to the Myrtle Beach NASCAR SpeedPark, be sure to check the website for special events and promotions such as Early Bird Sundays, during which attendees can get special pricing between 10 and 11 a.m.
