Start Your Engines for Myrtle Beach Go-Cart Racing
Compass Cove guests with a need for speed have a lot of options for some go-cart racing thrills on the Grand Strand, and your VMB Card is your license to save money while burning rubber at area tracks. Take the family for a spin at one of these three race tracks and get discounts for staying at the Compass Cove Resort:
Broadway Grand Prix Family Race Park: This brand-new Broadway at the Beach attraction replaces the old NASCAR SpeedPark with a major overhaul and upgrade. Trading in the old stock cars for sleeker, open-wheel rides, Broadway Grand Prix offers seven different courses for racing – from the slower Family track for parents and kids to the more daring Fast Track and Speed Racer layouts. In addition to the on-track action, Broadway Grand Prix features the popular Spacecoaster ride that gives passengers the thrill of flight and freefall. Two 18-hole putt-putt courses and a giant arcade featuring high-tech interactive arcade games are also part of the complex.
Family Kingdom: Yes, this popular park in the downtown district is best known for its amusement rides and water slides, but it also boasts a pretty tricky go-cart track. Featuring a twisting road course, guests get to challenge friends and family members around the tight turns and wide straightaways. For family members who haven’t been bitten by the racing bug, there’s plenty more to do and see at Family Kingdom. The amusement park features everything from roller coasters to kiddie rides, and the water park has heart-stopping waterslides that overlook the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can save money by visiting both parks, especially if you show your VMB card at the ticket booth.
Wild Water & Wheels: Wet and wild fun abounds at this Surfside Beach attraction. Featuring a huge waterpark with slides, rides, a wave pool and a lazy river, Wild Water & Wheels also has one of the longest go-cart courses on the Strand. This looping figure-8 layout gives riders their money’s worth in miles and smiles. Of course, since you are also at a waterpark, there’s a bumper boat ride to give visitors the full experience. Guests can save money by using their VMB card and by combining both the water park and go-cart track in their ticket purchase.
