Ruth’s Chris is an upscale Myrtle Beach dining experience known for the highest quality USDA Prime steak served on a 500-degree plate. The restaurant prides itself on quality preparations of fresh ingredients in its appetizers and sides, as well, including shoestring fries, fresh asparagus, and creamed spinach. And while steaks are the bread and butter, so to speak, at Ruth’s Chris, there are a few other entrée options on the menu, including stuffed chicken breast, Caribbean lobster tail, and lamb chops. And don’t forget desserts and delicious treats from the bar, including an award-winning wine list.
Ruth’s Chris also offers a popular happy hour. From 5-6:30 p.m., snack on half-priced bar bites including calamari, Kobe beef sliders, and barbecued shrimp. A selection of happy hour drinks are available all day Monday through Thursdays.

Fun facts - the name: The Ruth’s Chris chain started as Chris Steak House, founded in 1927 in New Orleans. The original restaurant was sold to Ruth Fertel, a divorced single mother, in 1965. After the original building burned, a contract snag prohibited her from using the name Chris Steak House in the new location. When Fertel reopened in 1976, she named it Ruth’s Chris Steak House. “I’ve always hated the name,” she admitted,
